SN: 551102. Manufactured July-Sept. 1892 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .45-70 Government. 32.5” Round barrel. Bore is frosty noted in grooves, rifling remains strong. Metal has original finish, thinning to brown patina. Rifle is equipped with 1888 ram rod bayonet. Wood is very good with minimum impressions, with New York National Guard marks on right side of stock, and Handsome 1892 cartouche visible on left side. A good Spanish-American war gun.
