Serial no. 30169J. Manufactured in 1945 at Rifle Factory Ishapore, chambered in .303 British, 25″ round barrel. Bore is good with light frosting noted in the grooves, while the rifling remains strong and well defined. Serial numbers are matching, while the magazine is unmarked. The fore-end retains its distinctive wire wrapping, applied to reinforce the stock against the additional stress and recoil associated with launching rifle grenades. The stock remains in good condition with expected handling and service wear noted. A nice example of a late-WWII Indian-produced No.1 Mk.III with its characteristic grenade-launching reinforcement still present. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
